Vitol is the world’s largest independent trader of energy, its Singapore-based shipping company VIS manages all the shipping activities of the group, as well as offering services to third parties. This order will enhance Vitol’s marine fuel supplies offering and, once again, highlight the global influence of CIMC SOE in the field of LNG Bunkering Vessels.

The newly contracted vessels will adopt the Company’s latest LNG bunkering vessel design, which fully considers the safety, economy, and environmental protection of the ships. Additionally, these vessels will possess excellent transportation and bunkering capabilities, meeting the current market’s urgent demand for safe, efficient and environmentally friendly LNG vessels.

Currently, the green shipping market is experiencing strong growth momentum. As a leading offshore engineering equipment manufacturer in China, CIMC SOE has been widely favoured by the market due to its high-quality and high-performance design and construction capabilities for small and medium-sized liquefied gas carriers and has continuously secured new orders, including four 40,000m³ LPG/liquid ammonia carriers and two 20,000m³ LNG bunkering vessels. Since 2023, new orders have increased in both volume and price. As of May 2024, the Company’s new orders for offshore clean energy reached RMB5.781 billion, representing a significant YoY of 278.09%. The backlog orders amounted to a record high of RMB14.161 billion as of the end of May, up 184.81% YoY.
