(5 June 2025, Hong Kong) – CIMC Enric Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively, “CIMC Enric” or the “Company”) (Stock code: 3899.HK) are pleased to announce that recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (“CIMC SOE”), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, has once again secured an order for 1+1 20,000m³ LNG carrier and bunkering vessels from a European shipowner through Rensen-Driessen. The new vessel is scheduled for delivery in September 2027, with the optional vessel expected in December 2027.
This marks the second order for the same vessel type by the same client within just two months, following an initial contract signed in April this year. The repeat order reflects CIMC Enric’s global reputation and long-term partnerships with global shipowners.
The 20,000m³ carrier and bunkering vessel is one of the most widely adopted vessel types globally for LNG bunkering. CIMC Enric's design boasts an overall length of 160 meters, a beam of 25 meters, and a design speed of 15.5 knots. It is powered with a WINGD dual-fuel main engine featuring iCER technology and is optionally outfitted with a high-voltage shore power system. These features significantly reduce pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions throughout the vessel's lifecycle. With this latest contract, the Company has secured a total of six orders for this vessel type to date.
With this order, CIMC Enric has once again pushed its order backlog of related vessels to new highs, further solidifying its leading position in the global LNG vessel industry. It also highlights China's rising prominence in the sustainable shipbuilding industry as the global shipping sector accelerates its transition to decarbonization.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) regulations and the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) for Maritime Shipping are driving a surge in demand for LNG bunkering. According to forecasts by TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, the global market will require at least 40 additional LNG bunkering vessels by 2030, especially large-scale ones. CIMC Enric continues to lead the industry in terms of order volume and technical experience for this vessel type, positioning it for sustained strong performance in the future.
In addition to LNG vessel construction orders, CIMC Enric has secured multiple orders since the start of 2025 for LNG fuel tanks, offshore vessels, and wind power modules, contributing to robust and steady overall revenue growth.
