(6 January 2022 – Hong Kong) CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (“CIMC Enric” or “the Company”) together with its subsidiaries (the "Group") (Stock Code: 3899.HK) recently announced that Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.,Ltd. (“CIMC SOE”), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, signed an order of three 7,200 m3 LEG carriers with the HARTMANN GROUP via electronic signing ceremony.
The three newly signed 7,200 m3 LEG carriers are classified as DNV classification society. The carriers use MAN dual-fuel main engine, and the hull line and arrangement have been deeply optimized. Compare with the traditional small LEG carrier, the new carriers, which are the new generation of environmental protection ships, not only meet the latest emission requirements, but also significantly reduce the carbon dioxide emission in the distribution process.
The signing of this new order once again reflects the trusting relationship and cooperation between CIMC SOE and the Hartmann Group. CIMC SOE has previously delivered to Hartmann Group the world's first 5,000 m3 fully pressurized double-tank LPG carrier, the world's first 38,000 m3 ethane/ethylene carrier equipped with three independent type-C double-body liquid tanks and three-fuel ME-GI low-speed engine, as well as the world's first 5,000 m3 dual-fuel fully pressurized LPG carrier. Among them, Gaschem Beluga, the first 38,000 m3 ethane/ethylene carrier delivered by CIMC SOE, has been regarded as one of the world's top ten ships in 2017 by “Maritime Reporter & Engineering News”, an internationally renowned shipping magazine.
Since the successful acquisition of Fengshun Ship Assets in August 2021, the core shipbuilding resources such as slipway and shipyard have been acquired. CIMC SOE's new orders landed and the speed of delivering new ships has been significantly improved, which further consolidates CIMC SOE 's leading position in the global small-to-medium sized gas carrier market. CIMC SOE will also continue to leverage its own design, manufacturing and project management advantages in Type C marine tanks, fuel tanks, cargo handling systems, hull construction, etc., to provide customers with more customized and diversified gas carrier solutions.
Mr. Yang Xiaohu, Executive Director and General Manager of CIMC Enric, said: "With the continuous strengthening of new environmental protection regulations for the global marine industry, dual-fuel powered ships using clean fuels such as LNG and LPG as the main engine fuel usher in broad opportunities. CIMC Enric will actively seize the development opportunity for offshore clean energy, set an industry benchmark for small-to-medium sized environmentally friendly ships with competitive products, solve the pressure of decarbonization for shipowners, and provide ship options that meet the requirements to help green shipping in China and the international community process.
