(15 Nov 2021 – Hong Kong) - CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (“CIMC Enric” or “the Company”) together with its subsidiaries (the "Group") (Stock Code: 3899.HK) today announced that the High Pressure Hydrogen business development of CIMC Hydrogen Energy Technology Limited (“CIMC Hydrogen”), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, has successfully delivered four hydrogen tube bundle containers at its Shijiazhuang base to support the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The four hydrogen tube bundle containers delivered are mainly consisted of seven large capacity seamless steel tanks with a working pressure of 20MPa, which can be filled with 4,600 cubic meters (m³) of hydrogen, making it a tuble bundle container with one of the largest hydrogen distribution capacity in China. The hydrogen it distributes and stores can fulfill the energy supply needed for the Olympic Torch in the main venue of Beijing Winter Olympic Games. In addition, the hydrogen storage and distribution products put on the market by Shijiazhuang base are also widely used in automobile fuel cells and other energy storage equipment during the Winter Olympic Games.
CIMC Hydrogen is a leading manufacturer of gas storage and distribution equipment in China and has developed a number of products that fill the gaps in the domestic and international markets. So far, it has supplied over 30 hydrogen tube bundle containers for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, which can satisfy the operation of more than 200 hydrogen buses, and has provided more than 10 sets of 50MPa hydrogen tanks for hydrogen refueling stations of the Winter Olympic Games.
The National Energy Administration stated that the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games will achieve 100% clean energy supply. Both the hydrogen bus and the hydrogen torch at the Winter Olympic Games show Beijing's determination to demonstrate hydrogen applications at the Winter Olympic Games and other scenarios. The development of hydrogen industry has been included in the Beijing 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of High-Precision Industries, which focuses on the development of green energy industry. Beijing is grasping the three major opportunities including coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the demonstration application of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games, and the transformation of the regional industrial structure, to carry out the demonstration application of green hydrogen energy in all scenarios.
