(“Ling Steel Group”). This marks an additional integrated steel-coking project jointly developed by CIMC Enric and Ling Steel Group, and the fourth such project implemented by the Group nationwide.

At present, CIMC Enric’s two projects in Liaoning Province have already commenced operation, while the Shougang Shuigang Project in Guizhou Province is under construction and is expected to go into production in 2026.
Ling Steel Group, a subsidiary of Angang Steel Group, manages 18 subsidiaries including the listed company Ling Yuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. The company currently operates two 7.6-metre large top-charging coke ovens, three blast furnaces, and four 120-tonne converters, with abundant by-product coke oven gas resources. Anji (Lingyuan) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., the joint venture of CIMC Enric and Angang Steel Energy Technology Co., Ltd.(Angang Energy Technology),is the operator of the project. Backed by the strong capabilities of both sides, Anji New Energy positioning itself as a new energy demonstration enterprise dedicated to building a resource–storage–transport–application integrated green industrial ecosystem.
The first two comprehensive steel-coking projects of Anji New Energy in Liaoning Province — the Angang Steel’s Bayuquan Project and the Linggang Project (Phase I) — are both operating smoothly. The Bayuquan Project has been in operation for one year, while the Linggang (Phase I) Project has commenced production. Each of these projects achieves annual carbon emission reduction of over 400,000 tonnes, with the blue hydrogen and LNG produced being supplied as clean fuels to surrounding industries and the transport sector.
The signing of the Linggang Project (Phase II) represents another milestone in the deepening cooperation between CIMC Enric and Angang Steel Group, further validating the effectiveness of CIMC Enric’s innovative integrated model in supporting local green transformation and economic development. As a leading example of green transition among traditional steel enterprises, Angang Energy Technology and CIMC Enric have together pioneered a successful pathway for revitalising the traditional industrial base of Northeast China. The efficient and accelerated implementation of their cooperative projects underscores the agility and scalability of this model.
Mr. Sun Zhengping, Vice President of the New Energy Development and Application Business Centre of CIMC Enric and General Manager of Angang Steel Group, said: “CIMC Enric and Angang Energy Technology have worked closely for many years, successfully executing two projects that stand as benchmarks of regional green transformation as well as commercial success. Angang’s steel production capacity underpins national infrastructure development, while coke oven gas is being transformed into clean energy to support local industrial production, road transport, and even residential applications. Amid the structural transformation of our era, we have chosen the right path, and we are confident that company will continue to contribute to the development of a green economy in Northeast China and across the country.”
