(HONG KONG, April 22, 2021) – CIMC Enric Holdings Limited (and its subsidiaries, collectively referred to as "CIMC Enric" or the “Group”, SEHK: 3899 is pleased to announce today that it won an order of over RMB100 million, which is expected to generate revenue within the year, for on-vehicle hydrogen supply systems (including hydrogen cylinders and cylinder systems) to develop the hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck (“FC heavy-duty truck”) market and steadily advance the launch of related demonstration projects.
As a significant fuel of Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), hydrogen is a crucial development direction for the new energy vehicle industry due to its good environmental protection performance and high energy conversion efficiency. Compared with diesel and electric heavy-duty trucks, FC heavy-duty trucks have unique advantages such as zero emission, heavy load and long-distance durability.
CIMC Enric has been engaged in the hydrogen energy business since 2006. providing comprehensive solutions for the entire hydrogen industry chain including production, storage, distribution and refueling. Its business covers the products, sales and service operations including hydrogen production and purification systems, hydrogen main station loading equipment, safe and high discharge rate hydrogen refueling station equipment, hydrogen storage and distribution equipment, on-vehicle hydrogen supply systems, hydrogen compressors, hydrogen refueling machines, hydrogen cylinder valves, hydrogen power storage. The Group has also introduced world-leading hydrogen core products and key technologies to effectively meet the demand for large volume, lightweight, high pressure, low cost and high efficiency Type III and Type IV on-vehicle hydrogen cylinders and on-vehicle hydrogen supply systems for the booming FC heavy-duty truck market in China.
This order proves the Group's leading capability in on-vehicle hydrogen supply system for medium and heavy-duty trucks, and also establishes a good starting point for the Group to promote the launch of FC heavy-duty truck demonstration projects in Shanghai and deepen the FC heavy-duty truck industry chain.
Mr. Yang Xiao-hu, Executive Director and General Manager of CIMC Enric, said, “with the development of decarbonization and the emphasis on hydrogen in China, the huge base of heavy-duty trucks in China has gradually driven the expansion of the market for on-vehicle hydrogen cylinders. The Group is an early entrant in the hydrogen business and has introduced the world's leading hydrogen storage and distribution technology to enhance its core competitiveness. In the future, the Group will refine its products and technologies to provide customers with safer and lower-cost on-vehicle hydrogen supply systems to facilitate the development of hydrogen fuel cell industry chain. At the same time, the Group has abundant experience and solid customer base in the LNG heavy-duty truck business, bringing the Group more opportunities in the hydrogen fuel cell transformation market for LNG heavy-duty trucks.”
