CIMC Enric wins nearly RMB 250 million tender for LNG peak-shaving station project

2023-03-28

(28 March 2023, Hong Kong) — CIMC Enric Holdings Limited ("CIMC Enric" or "Company") and its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Group") (Hong Kong stock code: 3899.HK) have announced that a subsidiary, Zhang Jia Gang CIMC Sanctum Cryogenic Equipment co., Ltd. ("CIMC Sanctum"), has won a contract for a 29,000m³ natural gas peak-shaving station project ("Project"). The two-phased, RMB 250 million Project includes a 100×104Nm³/d purification plant with 100×104Nm³/d LNG liquefaction capacity, 29,000m³ of storage capacity and a host of related equipment and installation engineering services.

The Project is an important clean energy project undertaking for the local community, covering an area of 11.08 hectare, with a natural gas processing capacity of 1000,000m³ per day. An accompanying 29,000m³ storage tank is a core equipment manufactured by CIMC Sanctum which can store natural gas to meet local emergency demand for approximately three days. The storage tank is built with an external flexible sealed triple wall metal full capacity tank, a proprietary technology which was awarded the new technology appraisal achievement by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology in 2022 and enjoys full independent intellectual property protections. The product is capable of achieving near "zero" evaporation, "zero" loss and "zero" emissions under full leakage conditions(全泄漏工况).

The Project is scheduled to commence construction in June 2023 and be completed and put into operation in June 2024. After completion, it will greatly enhance the local natural gas adjustment capacity during peak season like Winter, and protect people's day-to-day gas demand, while laying a solid foundation for the local comprehensive promotion of clean energy use.

Mr. Ju Xiaofeng, Deputy General Manager and Head of Energy Equipment & Engineering Business Centre at CIMC Enric said, “Currently, there is a mismatch between China's energy supply and demand as well as an overall lack of domestic gas storage capacity. In the face of growing energy demand driven by economic recovery, LNG storage infrastructure is being stepped up in various regions to build up sufficient capacity for stable gas supplies and emergency peak-shaving for winter. This win once again demonstrates our industry-leading strength in the LNG engineering field. We will continue to provide customers with energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing total solutions and be committee to facilitating the dual-carbon goal
